  Learning to Teach / Teaching to Learn Program
  • Before starting the application, gather together any reference materials you may need such as your IUPUI unofficial transcript printed from OneStart, information regarding your work history, and your School of Education advisor’s course check-sheet. (If you are an art, PE, science, or math major, you will not have an advising check-sheet from the School of Education.)
  • You must also complete the Teaching Tolerance Common Beliefs Survey before continuing and submitting this application.

  I have visited with my School of Education advisor and have verified that an advisor’s check-sheet is in my file to document the completion and/or in-progress status of my pre-requisite coursework. (If you are an art, PE, science, or math major, you do not need to meet with an advisor from the School of Education. You do, however, need to confirm your readiness to start the blocks with your own school's advisor.) *  
  I have completed the Teaching Tolerance Common Beliefs Survey *  
My cumulative IUPUI GPA is 2.50 or higher. I understand that my GPA will be calculated by the School of Education, using all GPAs from all post-high-school institutions I have attended.*
  I have completed the admission process to be admitted or transferred into the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus.*  
I have confirmed that the School of Education has access to my transcripts from all of the other schools I have attended.*
  I have one of the following:*
  • I passed CASA reading, writing, and mathematics exams as required by the State of Indiana, or
  • I passed Praxis I reading, writing, and mathematics exams on or before 8-31-2013, or
  • I passed a combination of the CASA (on or after 9-1-2013) and/or Praxis I (on or before 8-31-2013) reading, writing, and mathematics exams, or
  • I have an ACT composite score of 24 or higher, or
  • I have an SAT verbal and mathematics total score of 1100 or higher, or
  • I have a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or
  • A total of 1100 for the verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE

Continue with the application if you have met the above requirements and/or if you have been given permission to do so by your advisor.
